Projects are the usual vehicle for introducing business change. Projects are transient having a clear start and end point and need a well-defined objective.
Project management is the process by which projects are defined, planned, monitored, controlled and delivered such that the agreed benefits are realised, this will also determine how effective a project is at delivering the required change, to time, to cost and to quality, with minimum disruption.
Increasingly, the activities that are being undertaken to achieve the change needed to meet business plan objectives are being managed as projects. However, we are also aware that effective delivery is as much about people as it is about applying proven systems and processes.
At Regency, we always look to develop a solution that is tailored both to the particular needs of the client organisation and to their members of staff, while being practical and cost effective and based upon best practice techniques and methods e.g. PRINCE2, APM and MSP, as appropriate.
Being primarily practitioners, we bring a great deal of practical knowledge and experience to an assignment. A key part of our approach is to achieve an effective transfer of that knowledge and skill, enabling our clients to reach a higher state of Project Management maturity. So when we are called in to manage an initiative, or help our clients to do so, we encourage active involvement and participation. This establishes greater control during the life of the assignments and results in a smoother transition when they are complete.
Our Project Management practice covers the following activity areas:
